RESTROOM TRAILER OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Reminders

  • Do not move the trailer
  • Please only use the trailer within the capacity discussed at booking
  • Stairs should remain out and railing out for duration of the event
  • Only toilet paper down the toilets
  • Do not open or close any valves
  • Leave fans and vents open to create circulation
  • Don’t turn on emergency power switch (red dial)

Preparing the Trailer

  • Access the restroom trailer key in the small, round bubble container mounted on the trailer hitch.  See picture.
  • Unlock exterior doors.
  • Unlock the control panel located in the back of the trailer.
    • For 2 stall restroom trailers: The control panel is in the stall to the rear of the trailer (the side with the trailer hitch is the front).  

The Control Panel

  • When the trailer was delivered, the technician left the lights and climate control in the on position. All you need to do is plug the electrical cord into outlet.  Ensure the coupling is tightened to make electrical connection.
  • Turn on water:
    • If connected to city water: open spigot valve
    • If using the water tank within the trailer, no action required. The pump(s) are already on.
  • Allow up to 90 minutes for the air-conditioning to get to temp
    • The thermostat was set to 70 degrees at delivery (will freeze if set below 70)
    • If not needed, turn off the air-conditioning using the power button on the thermostat
  • Music – set desired radio station or connect Bluetooth/USB

Additional Circuits

  • Do not touch these circuits.  Each switch was left in the needed position at delivery.

At the End of the Event

  • Remove your belongings from the trailer.
  • Unplug electrical cord from outlet.
  • If connected to city water, close the valve.
  • Lock all trailer doors.
  • Return key to the RV bubble. The bubble is a circle container mounted on the trailer hitch on the front of the trailer.

Electrical Troubleshooting Tips

The trailer requires 20 amps to operate.

  • Make sure the electrical cord is plugged in at source and at the trailer. The yellow plug needs to be screwed in completely.
  • If the circuit breaker pops, the outlet is overloaded. Switch the electrical plug to a different outlet on a different circuit or remove something else from the outlet/circuit.

Water Troubleshooting Tips

  • If using city water, make sure the water is on at the source.
  • If using the water tank in the trailer (not city water), make sure the pump switches are in the on position.
    • For the 2-stall trailer: only the #1 pump needs to be on. 
    • For the 4-stall trailer: both the #1 pump & the #2 pump need to be on.
  • If you rented a 5-stall or larger, for both city water and the water tank, make sure both pump switches are in the on position.

A/C Troubleshooting Tips

  • Check the thermostat, make sure it is set to air conditioning, not heat.
  • Make sure the trailer is set to 70 degrees.  Caution: It will freeze if set below 70 degrees!
  • Allow up to 90 minutes for the air to get to temperature.
  • Make sure vents are open on the interior.

Toilets

  • Foot pedal only requires light pressure to work.
  • If water is running in the toilet, lift up the handle to stop the water from running.
  • If water is not running in the toilet, check the water line under the toilet, ensure the valve is open (parallel to the hose).

Occupancy Lights

  • Lights will only illuminate when the door is locked from the inside.
